I offer a holistic and creative approach to counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and children. Building a trusting relationship in which you feel safe to explore whatever you wish is an important part of the work. Working as an experienced integrative and transpersonal therapist means combining a range of approaches, according to your needs, and acknowledging the connection between mind, body and spirit. We can use talking, work with art materials, image and metaphor, body awareness and movement.

I offer warmth and acceptance and a space to compassionately explore who you are; what you long for; past or present suffering; inner blocks and conflicts, your feelings and relationships, what matters, how to make the changes you want in your life, how to love and accept who you are.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of specific issues, e.g. feeling 'stuck' or confused, experiencing difficulties with relationships, grief, loss, depression, stress, work - life balance, eating disorders, addictive behaviours, low self esteem, anxiety, trauma, abuse, mid-life crisis, sexuality, spirituality, conflicts and dilemmas, searching for meaning, identity or looking to fulfill their potential or live more creatively.

I also offer coaching and mentoring on creative projects.

Training and Experience

My core training is in Psychosynthesis. Psychosynthesis combines eastern and western approaches to psychotherapy. I also draw on ideas from a variety of theoretical models: Gestalt, the work of Jung, use of the arts, neuroscience, somatic awareness, Attachment Theory and Object Relations.

I have been working in private practice since April 2010 and work with individuals, couples and children. Previous experience includes work as a primary and secondary school teacher, and teacher trainer. I worked as a tutor for school refusers, cared-for children and teacher of English as a foreign language. I bring to her work a love of the arts, particularly contemporary dance and a belief in the healing power of creativity.

Qualifications:

Currently completing an MA in Integrative Child and Adolscent Psychotherapy at Terapia and
