Rory Singer is Clinical Director of 'New Road Psychotherapy Centre' in central Brighton. NRPC is dedicated to counselling, psychotherapy and training.
Rory is a practising psychotherapist with over 20 years experience. He is a Registered Psychotherapist with the 'United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy' (UKCP) and works with individuals, couples and groups. He teaches and supervises both trainee and graduates of counselling and psychotherapy. He works as a consultant for individuals and organisations.

Rory was course director, and lecturer on the Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at Crawley College for 10 years prior to setting up New Road Psychotherapy.
Rory worked at the Hammersmith Hospital London for nine years, as a psychotherapist in the IVF unit under Lord Professor Robert Winston. The client group was childless couples and individuals. He also taught on the MSc in Reproductive Medicine, lecturing on the psychological impact of involuntary childlessness.
Prior to that he worked full time for two years at Kings College Hospital London working as a psychotherapist with male survivors and perpetrators of child sexual abuse. He worked alongside police, probation, social services, and forensic psychiatrists. His worked also involved seeing prisoners at Wandsworth prison.
In his mid 20's to early 30's he trained as a psychotherapist at the Gestalt Centre, London.
His main influences are Gestalt, Psychoanalytic, and Buddhist theory. In his early 20's, before training as a psychotherapist Rory ordained as a Buddhist monk in the 'Thai Forest Tradition' in the lineage of Ajahn Cha and Ajahn Sumedho. He lived in the monasteries for five years both in England and in Thailand.
