Aedin Finn – Trainee Integrative Counsellor

I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling Practitioners) registered trainee counsellor. I work as an integrative counsellor using a very holistic and individualised approach. I see each person as an individual and therefore draw from various therapeutic modalities such as Person-Centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis. Counselling is collaborative relationship, built on trust and respect; allowing us to work together to understand your experiences through exploration of the thoughts and feelings that come up for you. It is a journey of finding your sense of self, your own answers and feeling empowered to move forwards in life with a greater sense of choice with less anxiety and stress.

I have over 15yrs of experience of working in Healthcare in the NHS where my passion has grown for working with both body and mind. I have seen how many feel stuck or are quietly struggling and how this can impact so many facets of their lives. I am also a Breathworks trained mindfulness teacher and an ILM level 3 coach.

“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say ‘My tooth is aching’ than to say ‘My heart is broken’.”
