Ali Strong - UKCP Psychotherapist

My Approach

Whatever the starting point in therapy, most of us are looking to improve the quality of our life. We want better relationships, to live with more fulfilment, balance, vitality and joy, so this is what I hold for each person I work with.

As a psychotherapist with a masters in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, alongside other training and experience, I can offer multiple routes to change for those wanting short term work as well as those who prefer to work over a longer period of time.

Starting with what brings you to therapy, we can work to understand and alter thinking and behaviour patterns, explore and work through deeper, more unconscious patterns paying attention to and using what happens between us as a vehicle to change, or use a combination of both. The route we take will be a collaboration between us to find the most effective way to bring about change.

About me

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist with experience and training in a wide range of issues, involving trauma, relationships, neurodivergence, identity, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+, gender, race, self esteem and confidence to name a few.

Having always been interested in why humans do what they do, this manifested firstly with a career in advertising and led to life coach training and practice. The more I became involved in personal development, the more psychotherapy began to interest me as a means to deep healing and living a vital life.

I am dedicated to my own personal growth so have been in therapy for many years and continue as a commitment to my work and myself.

I am a partner, mum and daughter with a love of nature and creativity.
