“Five things induce release of heart and lasting peace. First, an intimacy with good friends. Second, ethical conduct. Third, frequent conversation that inspires and encourages practice. Fourth, diligence, energy, and enthusiasm for the good. And fifth, insight into impermanence.”
(The Buddha)
In this ongoing group we aim to create a context that encourages the sentiments expressed by the Buddha. We begin with a meditation and then take one of the ancient Buddhist texts and explore it as a group.
We will explore the texts from The Buddha's Teachings on Social and Communal Harmony; An Anthology of Discourses from the Pali Canon. https://blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/product/The-Buddhas-Teachings-on-Social-and-Communal-Harmony-by-Bodhi-editor/9781614293552

PERSONAL STATEMENT:
I first started running Dharma, Dialogue & Meditation in September 2004 - over 16 years ago. I have run it most years in that period.
Every time I visit the Buddha’s teachings I find fresh insight and inspiration. The group it fosters an environment of kindness, support and social learning. My personal practise and interest is the integration of Psychotherapeutic and Buddhist Theory.
