Roy Raubenheimer‍ ‍Humanistic Counsellor - Specialising in Men’s Experience

My name is Roy, and I am a Humanistic Counsellor, trained at the Metanoia Institute in London (BSc Hons).

I work with men. Many of the men I see come because something feels missing — in their relationships, in their sense of themselves, in their capacity to feel or connect. Often, they're not sure what the problem is. They just know that performing the version of themselves the world expects has come at a cost.

I've come to understand, both through my own life and through my work as a counsellor, how the environments we grow up in shape who we are allowed to be. The toughness, the self-reliance, the emotional control — these have their place. But when they become the only things allowed, something essential gets buried. I work with men to help that something find its way back.

In a counselling relationship that's genuine, warm and non-judgmental — where you don't have to perform, where what you actually feel and need and are — actually matters — different things become possible.
