Sarah Hughes - Person-centred Counsellor

Hello, my name is Sarah.

Life can bring challenges that feel overwhelming or leave us unsure of where to turn. Taking the first step toward change can feel daunting, and you do not have to face it alone.

In today’s fast-paced and complex world, it can be easy to feel disconnected from ourselves or uncertain about what we need. I believe that people have the capacity to better understand themselves and find their own way forward, even during difficult times. My role is to support you in this process, helping you to develop greater clarity, self-understanding, and resilience.

With over eight years’ previous experience as a Yoga Therapist, I have developed an understanding of the connection between mind and body and how this can support emotional wellbeing. This experience informs my therapeutic work, helping me to remain attentive to the whole person and bring a grounded awareness to my practice.

My primary modality is Person-Centred Counselling, and I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to work in a collaborative and responsive way, shaped by your individual needs and what you bring to each session.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and life experiences, and I aim to offer a respectful, non-judgemental space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, helping to build self-awareness and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

I am a registered student counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring your safety, wellbeing, and confidentiality throughout our work together.
