Shania Ives - Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist
I’m a trainee integrative psychotherapist offering a relational and trauma-informed space for reflection, understanding and growth. My practice is grounded in curiosity, compassion and a deep respect for the social, cultural and personal contexts that shape our lives.
I’m drawn to the places where identity, emotion and experience meet, and I work with care to honour each client’s story in its full complexity. Together, we explore the patterns, relationships and inherited narratives that shape how we come to know ourselves.
I believe healing often begins not with having the “right” words, but with being heard in all the ones we’ve never said aloud.
I have experience working with those who are care-experienced or adopted, and my practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative. I am committed to anti-racist practice and to creating a space that stands firmly with trans and gender-expansive people.
I’m currently in advanced clinical training and in ongoing supervision. I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical guidelines.
