My aim is to help you to overcome the problems and issues that bring you to therapy, exploring them in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

Central to my approach is the use of Gestalt. Gestalt is a particular humanistic approach that doesn’t give people labels; instead I work to understand you in the context of the world you live in. Instead of you feeling forced to change in a way you feel you should, As your counsellor I will help you explore your thoughts and feelings in order that you become more aware of your needs and wants. I will help you to become aware of the patterns in your life, and to support you in making the changes you want to make.

Committed to an on-going training in integrative psychotherapeutic counselling, Renate works with a Humanistic foundation and on a client-led basis.

With a focus on supporting clients through transitional stages in life, recognising the struggle but also the potential in personal growth, Renate offers clients a chance to explore their potential and choices in life.

My approach:

Currently engaged in on-going training in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Nina tends to favour an approach that prioritises the unique quality of each client-therapist relationship. Likewise, keen to respect the individual nature of each person’s experiences and their particular motivations for pursuing therapy, Nina invites you to collaboratively explore any challenges and tensions you might be encountering through dialogue and varied forms of creative communication. She has a strong believe in people’s shared capacity to make gains in self-understanding and self-acceptance when supported by a warm, non-judgemental and empathic relationship that fosters a sense of trustworthiness. 

Nina practices in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), thereby ensuring the provision of a secure, reliable and confidential relational environment. Nina also has an Enhanced DBS (previously CRB) Certificate, participates in regular supervision, and volunteers as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse. 

My background:

Beyond Nina’s therapeutic practice, she has studied psychology at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level and continues to teach on related degree programmes. Her related research predominantly employs an approach defined by an overarching aim to acquire a deep appreciation of the subjectively lived experiences of others, especially in relation to voluntary activities characterised by uncertainty and risk.

I am committed to on-going training in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling. My approach is Humanistic, with a focus on supporting my clients through a range of personal difficulties towards exploring their potential and feeling empowered. I provide a safe and confidential space in which gentle change can begin through our therapeutic relationship.

As a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I practice within their ethical framework, and hold Enhanced DBS clearance for working with vulnerable adults. I promote equality, diversity and non-judgement, valuing each of my clients as unique individuals with the courage to seek greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Abi is currently training in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling and works to create a safe non-judgemental space where clients can explore what is currently troubling them and develop a greater awareness of what they feel is holding them back in their relationships with self, other and the world. Abi places emphasis on the uniqueness of each individual person and attempts to come alongside clients as they seek to create their own understanding and meaning, offering a creative space to experiment with ideas and ways of being. 

Abi is a student member of BACP, holds a recent enhanced DBS certificate and is committed to ethical practice and ongoing personal development. She has experience working with young people and survivors of sexual violence.

I am a trainee Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a focus in Relational Transactional Analysis.

In my work I aim to provide a safe, containing and empathic space, in which whatever it is that has brought you into therapy can be shared and explored.
